A Burden for the Lost
-2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT- So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”
The Apostle Paul was a gospel preaching man, he shared the gospel with rulers of nations from Israel to Rome and everyone in between. In a way he has shared the gospel with you and me as well through his writings of the new testament. Today at our tuesday morning prayer the heart of the prayer team was for our unsaved family and community.
The world today is lost and hurting with no hope. There is a generation (our children and grandchildren) growing up without a firm biblical foundation. You ask who’s fault is that; the media and music industry perhaps. Brothers and sisters we need to stand up and share the gospel with them.
I’ll close with these words from A.W. Tozer, “The fall of man has created a perpetual crisis. It will last until sin has been put down and Christ reigns over a redeemed and restored world. Until that time the earth remains a disaster area and its inhabitants live in a state of extraordinary emergency....to me, it has always been difficult to understand those evangelical Christians who insist upon living in the crisis as if no crisis existed. They say they serve the Lord, but they divide their days so as to leave plenty of time to play and loaf and enjoy the pleasures of the world as well. They are at ease while the world burns....do we believe this to be true? When is the last time you shred the gospel with an unsaved person?I wonder whether such Christians actually believe in the Fall of man!"

Oh Lord gives us a heart for the lost and unsaved, and a boldness to share your words with them in Jesus name, amen.
