Drawing on the Grace of God

2 Cor 6.1-2 Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you,and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, NOW is the favorable time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation.

V1-2 Remind us that the grace you had yesterday will not be sufficient for today!

Grace is the overflowing favor of God, and you can always count on it being available to draw upon as needed. “…in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses”— that is where our patience is tested in our times of distress. (2 Cor 6.4)

Are you failing to rely on the grace of God in your distress? Are you saying to yourself, “Oh well, I won’t count this time”?

It is not a question of praying and asking God to help you— it is a question of taking the grace that God has to offer NOW.

Never hold anything in reserve; never be diplomatic and careful with the treasure God gives you.

The Grace that God has for us is now and in order to fulfill His work we must act upon His Grace Now going forward in His strength knowing that His grace is sufficient amen!
